Title: FAO Val chain ID solved
Post by: Doug on February 27, 2015, 03:52:21 PM
There you go Val.

It is a curb chain and fits under the lower jaw of the horse.

I went back to the farm and asked!!!!!

You're not going to believe this Doug.  My 1st thought was a curb chain and then I never associated it with the obvious place you'd find one.........in my tack room  ::) It's like seeing someone out of context and not recognising them.

I sometimes wonder about my brain.

Thanks for asking the Farmer.  I might do the same. I found another 'Pembrokeshire Round' today and nobody seems to know what they were for.  I got permission on some new fields this afternoon and the Farmer (lovely old fella) is 90. If he doesn't know I don't know who will.
