Coin ID if possible please.

I was told when I found this that it was probably some kind of local (Redditch) trade token but looking on ebay for books on roman coinage
and there was an advert there for a Constantine II coin which has an identical reverse to the one I found but a different obverse.
I've enclosed some pics I just took. The Obverse bust is not as prominent on the coin, I've enhanced that aspect to try to make more sense of the image.

Thanks in advance

Ysbyty

Thats as Roman as they come Mike. Take a look at wildwinds for an id, though I'm betting the Doc beats wildwinds to an id.

Cheers Rob.
This is the image advertised as a Constantine II on ebay. Be lovely to find out
who the emperor was and an approximate date for my record keeping.

It's certainly Roman and the reverse design is a "wreath Type" unfortunately the design was used by nearly every ruler from the 280's through to the Romans leaving Briton.
The usual suspects are Constantine or one of his sons Constantius II, Crispus, Constantine II or Constans but without a clear legend, it's practically impossible to say which one. Wink
