Title: The ring is still lost, but one more Roman Post by: Chef Geoff on September 10, 2010, 04:24:45 PM Popped out for a couple of hours just to test some new headphones and see if the lost ring would finaly make an appearance, but it wasn't to be.
I did however find a Bronze Antoninianus in nice condition, I think it depicts Gallienus but not to sure until it has had some TLC. That takes the total on Roman coins dangerously close to the magic 7 and a hoard number and just to give me more to think and fantasies about. The obverse of the coin as you can see has a central patch of ver de gris, as most of you will know this is generally caused by an electro chemical reaction and is often present when 2 coins are stuck together..........................
