Post by: DATA311(Alan) on March 12, 2009, 10:19:34 PM
Hi guys,
As you know, I am looking to get back into the detecting world and have been perusing through a lot of web sites looking for an inexpensive machine to get started with. :-\
And I have been looking at a few machines, one of which is the LANDER XD100, is there anyone on this forum that may have some knowledge of it and how good (or bad) it is ??????
Any input would be appreciiated.  :) :)

YES STAY CLEAR OF THOSE MATE.
IF YOU WANT A TIDY DETECTOR THINK THE CHEAPEST NEW THATS WORTH BUYING IS PROBABLY A GARRETT 250 ACE FOR AROUND 180.
BUT YOU COULD BUY BETTER SECOND HAND FOR 200 LIKE FIRST REPLY SAYS.
sorry but get better info first .set your budget (think if you have the time better quality pays off)
you may find far more with a better detector than its worth quickly if you find some hotspots.
buying second hand you may loose nothing if you sell on .
but i would think 200 as a budget or more rather than 99 sorry if thats your current budget.

I havbe still got my Musketeer - cracking machine and I have had some lovely finds with it including my first hammereds.

£160 I think is a bargain.
