Title: Oxwich Beach Gower Post by: EddieV983 on September 05, 2017, 12:59:36 AM I was on Oxwich beach detecting yesterday 4th September 2017 and found 20 fired ammunition cases. The cases appear to be 30-06 dated 1942 with the manufacturer D M stamped into the base. Also found a few bullet heads for said cases and a couple of what appear to be 9mm bullet heads. All items were found using a CTX 3030 at a depth of around 4 - 8 inches and in remarkably nice preserved condition. Judging by the way they were grouped around and a couple of bounds apart, gave the impression of a little bit of F&M taking place from the extent of the tide being out back towards the dunes.
