Title: What are they?
Post by: spaceonwhite on April 30, 2017, 06:16:37 PM
Probably nothing very exciting but pulled up these 2 today and I have no idea what they are. The one has corroded through to the other side. Anyone have any ideas?

Not sure of correct name but they look like the two end pieces of a towel rail.

They're really small Val. Only about a 2cm long so the holes are only a few mm wide.

Ah !  What about a smaller version, a drop handle for a small drawer or box.

Good guess Val. They are indeed part of a small brass drawer handle, probably Georgian in date  ;)

That "Val"; I'm often amazed by just how much she knows. As do many of our other members, of course.  ;D
