Title: The Mole
Post by: Resurgam on March 09, 2015, 03:42:27 PM
Anyone using The Mole stainless steel metal detecting spade? I thought that it looks very interesting; with the stainless shaft that splits and joins the balde at either side, allowing the foot to be set central, and the protective lip facing forward so it will not obstruct digging deeper than the blade length.

Thanks in advance for any replies from users of the Mole.  :)

I didn't know you could still buy it? Not sure what the price of these are/were but it's only a Spear and Jackson spade with the labels removed and the blade cut down.

I have a feeling Ferret had one and it didn't last too long.....it bent :-\

Ah ha, I think you may be right; I have just had a peep at that thread for Spear & Jackson. I think "The Mole" can still be bought from Cheshire Metal Detectors at somewhere around £60 pluss postage. I think I'll dig out the anglegrider!  ;)
