I am just in thge process of ordering a replacement rechargeable battery for my Explorer II. This may sound a stupid question but what is the difference between the Explorer  NiMh 1600 rechargeable battery pack and the Explorer  NiMh 1800 rechargeable battery pack?

I am presuming the answer will be battery life - any ideas?

Cheers

Yip , its like the volume of energy a battery can store.  I just bought an all singing all dancing charger with 8 batteries for the E trac. The batteries are 2900 mAH  huge volume , doubles the length of usage.  Full charge obtained in 5hrs.

Have you got a battery pod because if you have this may be a better solution for you Neil.

Damn you Salty - I wanted to take all the credit for the idea Angry

Ok maybe Salty may have had a small input into the discovery of this charger

Cheers Rob - good idea, but I got store credit at Joan Allen (as I have returned a pinpointer for the second time)

Does anyone know the actual time/usage length difference in the two types?

Cheers

Well firstly, this is the link for the charger and batteries (price is inclusive of 8 x 2900mA batts)

http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/Fast-Charger-for-8-AA-AAA-batteries-8-x-AA2900mah_W0QQitemZ220343550931QQcmdZViewItemQQptZUK_ConsumerElectronics_Batteries_SM?hash=item334d7fc3d3

Neil, the 1800mA pack is just slightly larger amp hour rating so it will last a bit longer, it will also take a bit longer to fully charge, your charger is the same Wink
