Nice! Been detecting in Herefordshire for twenty years and never found a Saxon coin so it's good to see they're out there.

thats the first saxon coin find ive seen from herefordshire (metal detectin find ) very well done ,there as rare as hens teeth here. hope you will be recording with your local flo ,very well done again  Cool Cool

Very nice. A  Saxon primary sceatta as has been already stated. Type B1a appears to be the closest (the exact equivalent is not in Spink, the nearest being Spink 777).
