Spent hours today trudging round with mud stuck to my search head, spade, gloves and about a stone of the stuff stuck to each boot and dodging hailstones wondering why the hell I was still there detectingwhen this little un popped out.
It's 15mm diameter and I need help to ID it please!
Also had a buckle just wondering if its the same sort of age as the coin?

Nice finds. The buckle is as Humfrey said, 1620-1680. The hammered is a lot earlier, 15th century I think. The pics are not very clear, any chance of some better focused ones?

Tried to get some more pics in daylight and fiddled with the brightness and contrast to see if it makes it any easier for IDing.
Quite worn and a lot of the lettering is clipped or mis-struck off but any info would be appreciated!
