Well the  letters on it are MM  or WW  I was thinking Roman numerals for a date maybe.  But MM is 2000 so that would not fit in, so maybe they are the initials of the Owner or maker.  Maybe youve found the handle of William Wallaces spoon.....In fact yip thats what I'd go along with the handle Of William Wallaces Porridge Spoon  Wink

Could it be a shoe horn perhaps? It doesn't look like a spoon to me. Why would a spoon have that ridge along the middle?
