Detectors new clothes

With the coming of winter and because my Minelab XS is now a 12 year old, that's centuries in detector terms, well it is for me. I decided to invest in some new covers which apart from keeping it clean (just take the covers off and pop them in the washing machine) has given the XS a completely new look.
these can be bought individually but I decide to buy the set of 3, 1 stem, 1 control box and 1 for the main body and handle unit. After looking around I ordered them from DW member Steve Morris, who makes and sells the covers under the name of Pro-Tector. http://www.pro-tectors.co.uk/
He has different styles and designs for different machines but I went for the Woodland Camo which comes with a pocket for a spare battery, now personally I never go out without a full battery which easily lasts me a days detecting, but I found that the pocket is a perfect fit for a Garrett probe
Fitting is a piece of cake, all covers being sealed using hard wearing Velcro.
All in all I'm really pleased with them and though they obviously have no effect on machine performance, it does give you the feeling that you've got a new machine

Its a nice piece of kit got one on my xs plain black and well worth it during the cold and bad weather if you do a french foreign legion style will buy one of you lol . i like the pocket for the probe its in and out .nice camo style Geoff look like a new machine a new face lift . Very good invention the protector .welldone .

i got a complete new set of pro tectors when i got my etrac and has i ve never used em before im impressed with em ,keep the machine clean n tidy and if they become to dirty take em off wash en in the sink and stick em back on, i had mine in black as i was concerned i wouldent find me tecter if id have had the camo come autaum.

I love the camo but Sorry I Love Yellow too mate Proud of it too !! mind you when i up grade to etrac yep ill buy it  

tis funny how people talk about cammo out on the fields yes or no right or wrong !!! Who Gives a HOOT enjoy it no matter what one thinks

Cheffie I had to get a full set so having some for chrimbo. They do look smart but as usual they have not arrived so will have to wait for next week as we will not get a delivery now til wednesday. Perhaps unveil them at Ludlow on thursday
