hello folks I'm trying to find some info on this item which i found recently  ??? there is some evidence of gilding on both sides there doesn't seem to be any evidence of it being mounted Ive done some research on their dress they are both different prob early 17th century got everybody puzzled any help thanks Paul

I like that Paul, but I confess I haven't got the foggiest what it was used for or how it was displayed as presumably both sides are meant to be looked at.

Curious item. I agree with your guess at the date of her clothing.

Whats it made of - I am guessing copper/alloy.

hi Byron i thought it could be a pilgrim badge but why two sided Ive been in contact with a gentleman from searcher he said it could be from a a chair but i cant see any damage on the ends some kind of furniture mount many thanks Paul
