welcome to DW michaela.... Wink.....we all started with a basic detector so you are in good company......using it is the only way to find out if you'll like this interesting hobby....the advantage about joining a club is ..they will have "club land" for the use of their members.... Wink..i'm sure phil ynysboeth has filled you in on our club..RARE...good luck with your endeavours and i look forward to meeting you on a  DW rally soon.... Grin....byron

No he doesn't and at the moment I can't get him interested even to attend when I do it but I may change that in time.  We are used to having seperate hobbies - he is into sport and I am into storm chasing - so it's no different for me. 

Thanks to all for your welcome messages, I feel like I have become part of a big family.

Ive got the same trouble with my wife (Kane,s Daughter) ive bought he countless detectors in the past to try and get her interested in detecting
Im having a lend of a Detector off Roman Ray so she can have a swing at the RARE token Hunt this Summer down the VOG
Maybe finding tokens and winning some great prizes will encourage her ;0)

Hi Michaela, welcome to the forum, sorry i'm a bit late with my welcome, we have plenty of Lady's here Detecting, all of which do very well indeed, (i think its a concentration thing, i cant make up my mind if it's too much or not enough but it works Lol) my wife has a bash when its not cold, says she does it to indulge me, but its always me who has to call time.
Come along to the Scan Club and pay us a visit, we have loads of club land on your doorstep Wink

Thanks Karl, have just registered with Cardiff Scan so hopefully won't be too long before its validated. 

A concentration thing you say lol... that along with patience and the ability to multi task ha ha ha....  I am sure that I will eat those words one day!!!!
