 Hi all,

 Cracking site fair play, loads of good info and good people so thought I would join,
 if you dont mind adding another nutter to the forum.

 Anywho Im Jay, 31 from Bridgend, just bought my first machine ( Ace 150 ), have allways
 wanted to start detecting since I was a youngster, so I treated myself. Been married
 11 years, 2 daughters eldest going to comprehensive in september  Undecided Im bricking it.
 Thats about it really.

Welcome to the Site Jay , There is an absolte wealth of information on here and loads of friendly people only to glad to help. I know theres a few of our members from the Bridgend area, I'm sure they will make themselves known soon enough

[make sure you get the necesary detecting insurance cover either from FID or NCMD and the necessary beach permit from the crown estates]

Hey, Jay! I'm a relative newbie to detecting too, and I'm also an Ace 150 user. It may be an "entry level" machine, but it gives the big boys a run for their money, lol. I'm finding plenty of good stuff with mine and so should you. Enjoy!

 I have the beach permit but no insurance, I can just about afford to insure car..house...dogs...snake... Shocked
 Seriously though, what would I need insurance for, sorry for the ignorance, am propper newb at detecting.

 Leighton.

 I went to a local kids park yesterday my second outing, and was chuffed to conkers to find an old penny 1935 i think,
 also an old old half penny about the same date, loads of two pennys.

 I think Im gonna need a bigger bag for all the beer/coke cans though  Roll Eyes

 But yeah had loads of fun, am hooked bigtime.

Hi jay - go to the websites of FID and NCMD and see what the insurance covers - its relatively cheap and ensures that u are covered for all public liability whilst on other peoples property.
