dont forget if your doing tenby to down load a free permit from the crown estates web site.neil has put a link on here .we did have a guy when i started who was aproached by a council official and a plod on tenby but as soon as he whipped his permit out the went away with their tail between their legs.
 easy to download one takes a minute,keep it on you at crown beaches like tenby.
just a reminder cos i keep forgetting to take mine when i go there Roll Eyes

Worth remembering that bit of advice. More than one detectorist has been 'approached' at Tenby. I heard of one that was seen off, not having a permit, and told he would have his detector confiscated if he came again. Shocked

Also worth mentioning that not all of Pendine is restricted. No one says anything about detecting the area in front of the ramp but the man in the Tractor will chase you off if you stray too far over.
Also the next little beach, towards Marros, is restricted but I know 1st hand the Wardens dont mind if you stay on the beach. The area at the top is SSI so def. a no no.
