had a couple of hours out detecting with dale and managed my first bit of silver in a while  Cheesy

mate the badge is a silver ww1 royal artillery cap badge it should have a silver stamp on the back  Grin

Is there a date stamp on the back of your badge Dale ?   

The Royal artillery have a Museum and there is are contact details.  Wonder if it might be worth sending them a pici and asking them about it.    Link below
