Popped out again this morning to the only bit of land I've got free at the moment, the small pasture field I got my lovely clothes fastener out of a few weeks ago. Lots of signals, then my 3rd dig turned up a stunning silver medieval annular brooch Grin Probably going back out again later Wink

I use my trusty T2, has got a new coil now as the original started playing up, it's made a world of difference, I think I had been loosing depth with the old one, I found the brooch at about 8".

I love it, had mine about 18months now, it takes time to get to know it and it's quite a 'chatty' machine. Definitley need some top quality headphones to hear those tiny noises, but persevere and you wont be disappointed. It loves silver and I've had some great finds with it, you could certainly do a lot worse machine wise. The only downfall as far as i'm concerned is that it's not as sturdy as some other machines, you certainly can't go smashing it through stubble and obviously it's not the detector for the beach.

Hawkeye I've just got the standard coil on, I tried the SEF coil but I didn't like it, but it man did it go deep with that one on.

Cheers Herbie it'll not be needed for the beach I'll  have no time with all the kayak fishing. Chatty things no probs been married 20 years I think???. Better delete list post quickly before my beloved sees it dishes and cleaning for a week hard labour thanks Mark.
