spent a lovely day in the vale with hammerd and stufkins and managed these 2 hammies , an eddie and a lizzie , any further info would be great .

the little un turned up 1st , my 10th hammered this year , followed an hour later by no.11  Smiley Smiley Smiley

after advise on how to straighten bent coins and with much worry i gave it a go and , well it worked thank god  Smiley Smiley Smiley

Well done Mike - you did a good job on that straightening  Smiley

The little one is a Lizzie penny, and the Eddy looks very unusual to me, with a number of features that don't fit together - possibly it's a Continental imitation.

I've asked Rod Blunt on UKDFD for an opinion.

Rod's view is that it is Edward I class 2a.

It was the strange second S on the obverse that confused me - Rod thinks it's just a bit slimmer than usual.
