Hi All
I sent out 20 letters over a week ago and had 2 replies one saying land had been sold and the other has a club on it.. Well this morning the postie deliverd some Xmas cards etc. but then i noticed a SAE I sent out, Just Had to open this one First.......... YES GRANTED!!!!! Looks a very promising site.

I have just got back in from meeting with the farmer, LOST for words is all I can say!!! I took a google map of the farm and surrounding area. after the 7th field we were off map!! All in all about 13 fields to cope with!. Also with some Roman history to it (pottery has been found)......

well done ferret. Now a little tip for you -- after each detecting session, either show the farmer the finds or email him the pictures if he's not around.

also, get in the habit of plotting the finds on a map, downloaded from GE. this will give him a really good insight of whats found where.

Finally, make sure you record all the finds with PAS,  as it will give an official ID of the finds, which can be photocopied for the farmer as well. oh, and make sure you give him some to keep!
