Well, the design represents the Prince of Wales, so maybe a mount/badge belonging to a Welsh regiment?

Well that's interesting. Prince of Wales emblem but the words seem to be German. They mean 'I serve' in English.

Wonder if it's a demo piece ??

The feathers and the Ich Dien are used on Prince of Wales investiture articles and badges. This looks like a belt buckle so could be from the 1977 coronation year.

Maybe a regemental or scout buckle?

Its also on the back of a two pence piece
