Title: Recomended SEF Coil 12x10 finds Post by: waltonbasinman on February 08, 2012, 01:57:15 PM After a brief discussion with Chef I got myself a couple of new coils ( thanks Lisa ). As I am going out both days this weekend I thought I would give the 12x10 a quick try this morning just to make sure it works and to see how it feels. As the reputation is that the coil is better on depth than the Minelab coil I deliberately choose an already well detected area. Well yes I did get signals in the Hour and were they deeper than normal from that corner of the field I would say yes and the thimble definately. So look foreward to seeing how they perform. pictured is the thimble from an easy 12 -14 inches in pasture

I also tried sites that were well knackered and my finds rate from the deep improved, especially on pasture. Can't fault them.
