i found a 1697 william sixpence this week but there isnt a mint mark under the bust ,can anyone tell me where it could have been minted .thanks for your help folks.

I'm sure the Doc will correct me if I'm wrong but I believe that the mint letter below the bust denotes satellite mints, if no letter, then it was minted in London.

strangely, i also found a 1697 william 3rd sixpence at the yatton rally. taff has posted a pic up.

no mintmark on it. i agree with geoff and can confirm that 'spink' actually cites no mintmark as london mint.
