Title: My Society's Charity Run
Post by: Charles Cater on December 06, 2008, 02:38:53 PM
This year (2008) my metal detecting society did a charity run in aid of the Nightingale House Hospice for the terminally ill. As I have many photographs for you to see I can only add one at a time unless something else comes up.

A member paid for this sign to make sure we were noticed.
See My Album in the Gallery section.

Hi Charles

Good idea and for a good caused to
Ive been a member of a good few Motorcyce clubs over the years, sponsored walks, xmas prezzie runs and easteregg runs,
it all puts the Sport/Pastime/Hobbie in a good light,
Maybe  we could arrange something next year and get the Forum and Welsh detecting in  the papers and on the map ;0)
Maybe it would alter the  publics perception that Detectorists are just Grave robbing Nighthawking criminals

Always willing to help
Phil Jones

My mate Iestyn is the MS Society event organiser for Wales and if anyone fancies doin a parachute jump over the Mumbes in May - I'll let you have his details.

cheers
Neil
