i know we all now about this issue but its always with us ......pity for the rest of the descent detectrists :-[ :-[ ??? ::) its the publicity we dont want :-\

Well that detectorist is using a fisher and mazz big blue's, must be a bit dodgy :D

yep kev theres allways a few   bad apples  out there  that try to spoil  it for everyone  i have noticed the detector finds  on ebay too ,,,,,,,,,,  perhaps they should adopt a policy on there to stop the sale of ancient  artifacts etc totally

A Lot of those fines are way too small,  what the heck,  thats not going to put them off,  they make far more than that, i bet their laughing at the authorities,

 All we can do is to carry on and do the right thing, and promote our hobby  in the best light we can,   show em were not all the same as those thieves who use metal detectors as tools of their illegal persuits, ,
