Oh, yeah! I can see the little stick man too. Question is, is it a man made marking, or is it just a pattern caused by wear. Hard to say.

I have to agree, "blob". But when I first saw the photo I noticed the hole in it and immediately thought, leather workers Palm guard, then I read the size and that rules that one out.
