Firstly get an old mobile charger or the like between 6 and 12 volts, seperate the 2 wires and skin a little of each ...attach crocodile clips if you like .then get a plastic container and fill shallowly with water a few table spoons of salt....now plug in charger (make sure the 2 wires do not touch)dip both ends at the same time into the water salt solution making sure they do not touch each other.observe wich end fizzes in the water, ( unplug the charger at this time)and attach that end to your coin the other connect to a spoon or some small metal object.the closer you place the coin to the spoon the more fizz you will get, making sure that they do not touch......please do not try this with anything higher than 12 volts for safety reasons

'Warning' 'Warning'... Will Robinson.

Just a reminder that cleaning by means of ectrolysis is risky if not done properly. Do not use on anything that you think is rare or valuable.
'Seek professional advice'..

If your going to use this system... Enclosed are pictures of two items I deliberately left in for several hours to see what the effect that long an exposure
to this method of cleaning would have. So check you finds every few minutes.. you have been warned.

Ive done this a few times and the best results are with 3 volts.

Carefull when using as the gas produced is poisonous and can scar lungs.

Forget the voltage it has very little to do with it,  it's the ampage that is more critical.
