Had an invite from Tyna,Debbie and Max to head out to the beach today so on went the shorts and my trusty flip flops.
Got out of the car much to the laughter of above said ladies. " I hope you've brought your wellies!"....
well i tell you, i wish I had, it was the muddiest beach ive ever been on,I spent half of the day fishing my flip flops out of the goo.
In the distance i could see Tyna waving her arms for me to go over and shouting Max had found a ring... an a very nice one at that too....
Max had kindly tweaked my explorer settings to try and help me get the hang of it.... I then found what i thought was a fob thingy, but on closer inspection i dont think it is.... I was chuffed all the same.
Jammy Max then pulls out a canadian silver and then shortly after a pilgrims badge.Me and Tyna stuck in the area of the finds but all i found was 20p. Debbie was off in distance...I think she was half way to Devon.....
Tyna had a threepenny bit, a musket ball and a shiny gold thing!!.... oh and a piece of junk metal which she joked was also a pilgrims badge!!Debs returned and had found lots of modern coinage.
All in all a cracking day, beautiful weather ......shame about the footwear ....
Any ideas as to what my thingy is will be gratefully recieved!!!
No! ladies....I am NOT posting a picture of my feet...sorry!

Oh you did give us a chuckle Jan with your flip flops   Grin
Great day was had by all - what with the weather and company and loads and loads of belly laughs   Grin.
We gave some of the locals at Mumbles something to look at when they were sunbathing eh ?
Really enjoyed myself - we must do it again? Oh - with your wellies on though  Grin Grin
Wish you'd allowed pics of your legs and feet   Grin Grin

Well done girls - I love seeing old things coming off our local beaches.

You won't go far wrong following Maxine's beach tuition. She found a lovely Thomas Beckett pilgrims padge last year if memory serves me right. Looked like the one below I have attached- a stunning find!

Now - lets see those feet! Come on, don't be shy! Grin

Great report and photos and well done one and all!

Neil

There comes a time in every rightly constructed boys life when he has a raging urge to go somewhere and dig for hidden treasure.

Blue sky, sunshine and a cool breeze gave us a lovely afternoon - I think Jassy thought we were going to Palm Beach, judging by her very summery attire  Grin

Max had finds of the day - as Jassy has said - a silver 25c and a pilgrims badge - her second one  Shocked

A great day out - thank you ladies for your company.

That's not very gallant Neil, they're not that old Grin

Well done you lot on some lovely finds, definitely not your usual beach fodder. Wink

I think we need some clearer pics Jas, on pic one it looks as it has lettering, does it? and on pic 2 is that a tube on the right of the object?
