Hi Kev, I have not yet had the good fortune to find a Denarius, or indeed much Roman stuff during my six years of detecting.  I guess its just being at the right place at the right time.

I was lucky enough to find a denarius hoard last may, 120 coins from mark Anthony(32BC) to marcus Aurelius(176AD). It was the best knee trembler ive ever had !! Didnt stop shaking for days.
The inquest was last week and they were declared treasure.
If any of you have last Octobers copy of "Searcher" mag, i had the story published in it, and i even had my mugshot on the front cover.

I had 103 in the Monknash Hoard, story in march 2000 Treasure Hunting, also found three other single Denarii, one was a contempary forgery, also had a Silver Siliqua in the Vale a few years back.

Steve.

OOPS, sorry forgot this thread is supposed to be about people who have not found any. Embarrassed
