Hi guys

Found this coin but am clueless to its identity, I’m normally fairly good with coins but this has me stumped. I suspect it is foreign, it’s made of copper and it is hammered. It may be a jetton or not  Huh. Hmm. Any ideas?

Cheers

Johnny

Intriguing mate - what size is it? Could it possibly be a coin weight?

If not my money is on a early jetton.

What else you been finding lately dude?

Oh the usual gold hammereds Neil  Wink. Found some early 20th c silver and a love token but haven't been out that much. It's too light to be a weight dude, it's the same size as a medieval groat.

The one side of it (top picture) looks a little like a cut down forgery of a George III half crown - but the reverse of it looks very button like.

It reminds me of a pocket Sundial I once saw somewhere.  Just found one, here's a link.

Too tired to investigate but it's a thought.
