Title: Re: Lead for id ..... Post by: cardiffian on December 22, 2012, 10:29:15 PM Hi Mungo. I have had the same item as you and all off of one farm. I must have had about twenty all told. They were all from the very edge of a field running adjacent to a track. On the other side of the track were large pheasant pens.My first impression was that they were spent lead bullets that had perhaps been used against metal targets. However, I never found any that had missed the target (unflattened).
The ones I found had various different letters on the end. Yours it appears is a V. The farmer's son did not know what they could be. If I see the farmer after Xmas I shall ask if he knows what they are. Title: Re: Lead for id .....
