What a strange days detecting. Having hit quite a dry spell of late, i decided to go to a set of fields that i hadn't visited for sometime, and i'm glad i did. They were rolled flat, like a billiard table, as the landowner had only drilled it yesterday! Gosh, my luck might change after all!!

So working a very small area thoroughly over the next 4 hours, i got a bit of everything from Roman thro to present day. So enjoy the finds and feel free to help identify the 'pointy' mount and roman coin.  Grin Grin

Cheers

oh .. the dress hook was found sunday, in harlow

One of your favourite eclectic mixes Alan.  Nice when it's an interesting mix like that.

My first thought on the 'pointy'  thing was a horses brow band pendant. I'm sure I've seen something similar but can't find one the same.  Found some very early ones that are sort of similar.

The roman is a reduced follis / nummus / Ae3 of Constantine II, as Caesar. Beati Tranquilitas reverse, London mint.
