Looks like a nice Police Mans whistle. Interesting button, is that 2 Hatchets. Can't quiet make out the thing between them, is it a bugle/ horn or similar.

Funny thing is until about two months ago, never had a button, well like the ones,I've shown, and a chance meeting with some chap, coming off the beach, who collected Army badges and buttons, since then, I've had a few, I do clean them up, but in fairness, these came up good, bit of rubbish in the whistle, like a magpie, nice to try and get them back as best I can.

Each to his own Jonnie.  We all like shiny things, I think it's in our nature but beware.  One of these days you might find something worth a bob or three as long as you DONT make it shiny.

I check things out first val, I do know of someone who put a nice coin in a barrel machine, forgot about it, and out came a washer, I enjoy the cleaning side, nice to see a cruddy old silver ring come up like new.
