An interesting few hours out this morning. My colleague got a nice lead object with a design on it. Does it say TC, is it a design of an animal, or is it a bloke standing facing left holding a tray! .. all ideas welcome.

oh and a nice dupondiuis/sestertius, with a female head .. is it lucilla??  Any help with this ID is welcome.

cheers and happy hunting

I'm going with what Pon says - Faustina II, although her daughter Lucilla did have the same hairstyle, but they are scarcer coins. There is some legend to the left of the head, you should be able (in hand) to work out the letters and say which one of them it is. It's always nice to find a sestertius even if they are a bit knackered.

Thanks for the ID guys, I,m happy with it being a faustina. As for Lucilla I,ve found 2 sestertius of hers, in the past.!   Faustina date fits in nicely with other early roman found on the farm.

Cheers
