Title: Batten down the hatches - then hit the beaches! Wales to be hit by 50 year storm Post by: Neil on June 14, 2012, 09:57:24 PM Forecasters are predicting that over the next 3 days that Wales and other parts of the UK are going to be hit by the largest storm in 50 years!
On the plus side the beaches should open up if you are crazy enough to hit them this weekend! Check out the satelite picture! Silage was all cut for the 1st time during May, they managed that . Hay is usually next from the 2nd week in June, no sign of that yet and thats when I get mine. Then a 2nd silage cut as and when.
Last year some even got a 3rd short cut later in the year. All my fields are either silage, hay or grazing. Even though they've been cut once the grass is now between ankle and knee. Hard work.
