Just as I was giving up hope of ever finding anything of interest, unless you are passionate about ring-pulls, horseshoes or bottle tops, I uncovered this buckle.

I went up to Ferrets permission with him for a couple of hours and, after finding my usual "treasures", up came this little beauty. After all the goodies Morley found with this machine, I was convinced he had sabotaged it prior to handing it over.  Angry  Now though I have to accept the fact that it is me at fault, not the machine... ,'Sad

Hopefully it will be the start of a good run. If not, I'll pinch his AT Pro next time!!!

Very nice find Phoenix, it looks 1600s to me, so a nice start to your future buckle collection! I remember the time I found my first buckle, it's still clear to me to this day, was on a Rally and hadn't found anything at all an entire day until late afternoon I sat down on a hill, given up practically and was tired using my heavy Explorer II (I was fairly new to the world of Metal Detecting), and after having a drink etc got up, and instantly got a signal from where I was sitting, and was shocked to find a buckle, a lovely one too, complete with pin, which I found out was Tudor after taking to the PAS, and its big, was so delighted, a memory I wont forget.

Thanks all, I admit that I was becoming a little despondent after finding very little of interest.
I'm saving myself for that "big one"... Smiley

Very nice buckle though and its nestling nicely amongst Morley's collection... Wink

And Val, what can I say...It never ceases to amaze me how you all seem to identify finds so quickly. Thanks.  Smiley
