Hi.  Can anyone recommend a good coil other than my stock tornado?
Can anyone also tell me the difference between WOT and SEF?  Are they just different manufacturers of similar coils or. Is it to do with its design ( shape etc).
I could research I suppose but I rather have an opinion off those who are more experienced and also I,m lazy and this is Quicker.     Smiley Smiley Smiley

A Detech 13" Ultimate would be my recommendation but to answer your other question the SEF and WOT are both DD coils but the SEF is a newer design and imho slightly more stable

I agree with Geoff, I had one from him 18 months ago, for my Elite  it was and still is an awesome combination. Stable, great coverage and great depth. Wink

Oh no!!!!    You thrown a spanner in there.   Smiley
Its mostly for beach, so in that case ,  I would be better off getting the 15" sef? Is that correct?

I used a 15" WOT and a Sovereign Elite on the beach for many years.  Wish I'd never sold it; best beach combination I have ever used by a mile.  Would recommend hip or chest mounting the control box and getting a straight shaft set up for the WOT coil.  Can't be beaten on the beach.

Just bought an Elite for the beach, as Welshjohn says I used an Xs2a pro for many years and found it an excellent combination , will be buying another Wot coil for the Elite  Grin
