ok, my darling minelab explorer 2 has had a meltdown, basically when you insert the battery it turns itself on without touching the on button, it will stay on intermittently and then it goes off and on randomly.
Has anyone else had a similar problem??? any ideas how to fix it?
Minelab couldnt help.Sad

It sounds as if you need a new keypad they all go eventually. Give Steve at MSR a ring on (0208) 241 4789  and see what he says Wink

Minelab Explorer, Deus

I had my keypad repaired by him last year after being passed over to him by Minelab themselves. He is the only one that does the keypads now, and  he is endorsed by Minelab whom he worked for before going freelance. If you speak to him, he is very friendly and helpful. Check out his reviews on his site. The customer service is second to none hence the exceptional reviews. Good luck with the repair Jassy.

what happened to my etrac was that when i had the rain cover on moisture would condense under it ( mist up) for a few trips after the etrac would knock itself off when i was tecting.its o.k now though.hope you get it sorted soon ,
