I have just taken delivery of a set of Chef Phones and am well impressed. They are guaranteed for life. The coiled lead is separate and is not covered by the guarantee but can be replaced very easily; having a jack plug at both ends.

Good morning Geoff,

I am well impressed with the product and the delivery service. It's just a pity that the wife is keeping them under wraps till Christmas day! They are the best set of head phones that I have purchased since taking up detecting seriously.  Smiley

I should have purchased a set of ChefPhones first off!!!! I made the same mistake with my pinpointing equipment. Started with a stud finder and then a Maplins pinpointer, and finally bit the bullet and purchased a Garrett ProPointer.
What initially appears to be a cheap way to go, turns out to be more expensive in the long run.  Embarrassed
