Being a gun enthusiast, that looks like a fore-sight that has been removed from a gun.
What's the diameter? On a 12g shotgun gun it would be 20mm or thereabouts. A 410g will be smaller and a 10 bore bigger, but it looks exactly like one. They have been known to be removed in order to fit a sound moderator

hi its 22mm and it is an interesting point but would it not be steel also theres no hole for a grub screw.

From the photos it looks more like it has iron content rather than bronze and the grub screw would be on the moderator, not on the gun barrel. 22mm is roughly the size of a 12bore.

its giving a ferrous reading 1 and conductivity 50 on my ctx3030 so its almost iron free it could be brass but dont know what brass readings would be.
