It looks like a coin of Valens (Dn VALEN - S PF AVG)

There's no scale on it, so it could be an Ae4 or an Ae3 (with Salus Reipublicae reverse perhaps) - if there is a winged victory going left

or GLORIA ROMANORUM id there is a person right with a standard

Nick, any chance of a better photo? If that's from your hoard field and it's Valens then it's quite a late coin for that site ???

I based the id on the fact there are only 5 letters between DN (Domini Nostri) and the 'S P(ius) F(elix) AVG(ustus)'

It's obviously a 4th century coin, so you just have to find an emperor whose name is 6 letters long which ends in 'S' - Valens is the shortest.

Having seen the reverse it is the Salus Reipublicae type - guess the mint it looked like SMN(something) - Nicomedia I think.

It's in the same range of dates I get from my site - the latest coins I have successfully id'd so far have been Gratian - up to around 375AD.

Apparently the later coins are 'there' but they are usually so awful they are in the 'grots' boxes.
