hi all found this a while back and was wondering if its a penny half penny or a 1 1/2 penny its has 1d above legs and a 1/2 under them cheers

No it says "IDJ" they both have that though so what size is it? the good news is that no matter which it's worth £60 in fine condition;)

cheers geoff its 23mm wide and looking at it again your right its IDJ but under the j there is a 2 ? what condition do you think its in ?

OK in that case I think it's a halfpenny and it's certainly fine but your photographs only "poor" lol so difficult to see exactly Wink

Nice 1733 halfpenny of Isle of Man second issue of Eagle and Child emblem (FIRST ISSUE 1709) the coat of arms of Derbys(Stanleys) lords of man..Not top notch but still a good coin..The coins came in Bronze and copper ..By the way I live on Isle of Man and we regulary find these coins,but very few in good condition..The Stanley family held estates in Lancshire and Cheshire..Well done in finding this coin ,...ROB
