I was thinking treaty period as it was quite similar to one I had, but it would be good if you could get a photo without the (understandable) camera shake Smiley

Yes spot on 1s/8d was it's value and to put it in perspective the average labourer of that time earned around 9d per week so that represents just over two weeks wages. A gallon of good ale would have cost you 1.5d and a pair of shoes 6d. Wink
