Hello,

As promised the pictures of the spindle whorls and Hammered coins to come off the same field I got the Charles 1st Shilling and the John Balliol penny.

The hammereds are very small. I think the larger is a Henry 7th? not sure about the denomination or mint etc. Smaller one could be a farthing? not sure what monarch, date, mint etc. All assistance in a positive I.D. appreciated. Tractor was on the field last night giving it a quick 'scuff' before seeding it for grass, farmer is going to return it to pasture and stick sheep on it so no deep ploughing for a while then Undecided

Back on it again tonight.

Great finds again Will , looks like you've got a productive field there . You must be using your new machine  right , to find that miniscule hammered coin .

The one on the left is a sovereign penny - the one on the right is probably an Edward farthing.
