First day out this year folks! Was gonna go too Oxford but got too magor services and couldn't be bothered too leave wales plus travelling alone I'd off probably fell asleep at the wheel like clark griswold Grin. At least it didn't rain but was rather chilly I enjoyed it though and finds just kept popping up. I was happy finding the mounts and William love token still with detail then bang lizzy sixpence jumped out at me then buckle  Shocked . Not sure with the small silver looks too perfect could be a soldino however can't see any detail. Couldn't fit anything else in the picture but this is all the best! Thanks for looking and I'd be happy if anyone can age the mounts and can't wait too get back out  Wink

Now that's what you call a good day.  What mystifies me is, if you had a sudden change of mind on destination how the heck did you find a field like that.

I seem to spend half my time studying and another quarter plucking up courage to ask and still find nothing of interest. Undecided

Cheers val!!
It's 1 off the places that's produced for me in the past! Last time I went there was summer and ground was dry finds were still there but now it's nice and wet out there my explorer loves them conditions. Last year when I found a lizzy on a hedgeway in 1 of these fields that day I gridded that hedgeway I thought I had anyway next day though another hammered same hedgeway. I'm happy off pulling them out if there suddenly appearing on areas I've done allday long  Wink

Well done mate on the finds, that looks like a cracking bit of land with a lot of history, I'd spend more time there if I was you.

Yea I'll try!! Depends on the how I feel sometimes on drizzle days I head for pasture land it's hardwork on that porridge ploughed soil but I do attempt it when it's more dry because as some off us know the porridge sticky soil is a pain kicking the stuff off the boots every few minutes  and is like carrying 5kg weights on each boot lol

Yes, know exactly what you mean.  I was shooting off to be nosey and I knew it'd be messy because the diggers are in. Wellies  on and got stopped by Hubby who said I wouldn't be safe driving in them so he'd take me.  I was so glad he did.  I swear I brought half the field back with me,     in his car not mine .  Roll Eyes Grin
