Welcome to this great forum and hobby, I would go for a Garrett ace 250. Easy to use and cheap to buy. If it's only that machine you got to get you started and your itching too get out then happy days it's a machine and better than no machine. "They all work" look forward in seeing the finds you get. ;)
Title: Re: advice please Post by: bristolminelab on March 17, 2014, 07:39:15 PM Teknetics eurotek pro is a great beginners machine no silly icons just a number, great in iron , not tried on beach but would be ok on Dry sand , i use mine as a back up to a Minelab and this realy hold s its own against that,
Picks up coins at 8 inches also has iron volume which is very good in iron infested site as the iron comes over quieter. Also has a fast reaction time between targets, my wife use a Garrett ace 250 which does her head in with contant ringing in iron infested ground, so much so she changed back to her Viking 6 which see perfers but depth is limited. But everyone will have a different view and its all about personal choose :) Title: Re: advice please Post by: NEMESIS on March 17, 2014, 10:13:23 PM I got A GARRETT ace 250 up for grabs if you want it fella. Immaculate. I bought 2 as a package deal and this one has only been used 3 times. £120 + post..
Shaun. Title: Re: advice please Post by: smudgecd on March 18, 2014, 12:09:33 AM I agree the eurotek is supposed to be really good for the price. But again its personal choice look at some videos on youtube to get an idea. Where in carmathenshire are you.

Title: Re: advice please Post by: outlaw on March 18, 2014, 08:14:12 PM Well VK40, I had one in 2004 it was bought from JA who fair play to them had it back and refunded my money because it was faulty, however it did find me coins on the beach and plenty of horse shoes.
If you want just to try detecting out and it doesn't cost too much, it will find you stuff. People using these detectors with limited discrimination generally find a lot of stuff. Its good to see someone being sensible by walking first before running. ;D |
