which is/would be best to run on an Explorer SE, the 11" Pro coil or 12 x 10 SEF?

There is not a great deal between them, but the pro is lighter so is a bit easier to swing for longer periods.

At that size the difference is unmeasurable. The Pro is lighter. The extra for the SEF is not worth it unless you go for the smaller 8 x 6  or 15 x 12

Comes as standard on all new Explorers, Safari and E Trac.   

Your right If upgrading from the old type coil. I'd go for the Pro if 12 x 10 and SEF if smaller or larger.

Big  E  I use the 10 x12 sef on my se Cheesy never used the pro coil but have been told by many including maxine it as the edge over the pro coil  Wink but it seems to be doing the job for me it as slightly more depth than the 6x8  which is better in trashy areas and better sensitivity to small targets than the 12 x15 which is a lot heavier  Roll Eyes but will get the larger targets slightly deeper if you,ve got strong arms Grin Grin
