Title: 23-06-13 Hereford Finds need Id on couple

Went to Hereford today. Nothing much but need an ID of the lead lion head? Where would it have come from? And the lead pot thingy ??

The lead pot thingy could be an aviary and cage-bird feed and water trough.. They were often cast from lead and are flat bottomed. Probably 16th - 17th century in date.  Alan.

Thanks Alan, any ideas on how old the lion lead thingy is ?

Nice finds Joel.

I agree about the bird feeder.

The lion's head mount is probably post-medieval, but there isn't always agreement on this. See here for a few more:
