Title: Yesterdays Finds Post by: celticspikey on July 23, 2015, 03:19:45 PM From the field the quern stone came from, couple of grots, the rest has portraits, the Romulus and Remus is in very nice condition and pleased it has survived. Its a real shame the bracelet is broken as it has a lovely design.

Title: Re: Yesterdays Finds Post by: probono on July 23, 2015, 10:25:58 PM Well one of your grots is a roman silver(ish) ant of Gallienus - I do like the left facing busts - Lyons mint usually around the 257AD mark :)
Title: Re: Yesterdays Finds Post by: probono on July 23, 2015, 10:27:20 PM The bracelet reminds me of the late crossbow fibula - indeed it almost looks like the bent shank of one - but artefacts aren't really my area :)
