Hello from Newport

Hello, I am Stanley and I live in Newport, Gwent. I have been detecting for about 2 years now, mostly on fields but a few beaches as well.
No exciting finds to share unfortunately, just a few rings, the occasional silver florin and just about every Victorian penny ever made ::). I hope you are well.

I’m over by Tenby so get much the same as you. Think we get higher winds though.
Nothing you find is not worth posting. We all like to browse the pics. especially the ones of things that look unidentifiable h ::)
Not saying we don’t like the occasional bit of gold though. Look forward to seeing some of your finds.

I was at Tenby South Beach last month Val....I thought it was excellent and I was really beginning to find coins ( I am not good at beaches) but the kids were blown away by the wind and I had to finish early. I hope to make it back there for a long adventure with my son. He will fish and I will detect.
I hope to find something impressive for the forum, but for now it is a lot of George V bronze and silver. I will be revisiting old permissions over the winter with my new detech coil and hopefully something interesting will appear.
I am trying to guilt the wife into letting me go out tomorrow. Bribes of chocolate have been made.
